ETS-RT 05 Animal ear tags are identification markers attached to the ears of animals, particularly in the livestock industry. These tags are used for various purposes, including individual identification, tracking, and management. Commonly used for cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and other livestock, ear tags provide a quick and visible means of identifying animals. The tag is made with high quality TPU material which is also UV resistant and is attached to the animal's ears using tag applicator. Laser engraving is done to mark the unique ID number / QR code/barcode etc and is guaranteed to last for the lifespan of the animal. Visual Animal tags are used for a variety of purposes across different contexts, including agriculture, breeding, research, and pet ownership.
The tag is tamper-evident (cannot be removed) and available in 3 different sizes and colours and sizes depending on the requirement of the project.
Tag Usage:
Individual Identification:
Livestock Management: In agriculture, these tags are often used to uniquely identify individual animals within a herd. This helps in keeping records of each animal's health, breeding history, and ownership details. Research: Scientists and researchers use these tags to identify and track specific animals in studies related to behaviour, ecology, migration patterns, and population dynamics.
Ownership and Traceability:
Livestock Traceability: Visual Animal Tags are crucial for traceability in the food supply chain. They help track the origin, movement, and ownership of livestock, ensuring food safety and quality.
Health Monitoring:
Veterinary Care: Visual Animal tags contain information about vaccinations, medical treatments, or specific health conditions. This aids veterinarians and livestock owners in managing the health of individual animals.
Population Monitoring:
Wildlife Conservation: ETS-Animal Visual Tags are also used in wildlife research to monitor populations, migration patterns, and behaviours. This information is essential for conservation efforts and understanding the dynamics of different species.
Lost and Found Identification:
Pets: Collar tags with identification information are commonly used for pets. In case a pet gets lost, the tag helps in reuniting the animal with its owner.
Experimental Studies:
Laboratory Animals: Visual Tags, including ear tags and microchips, are used to identify individual animals in laboratory settings for research purposes.
Data Collection:
Scientific Studies: Animal Visual Tags can be used to collect data on animal behaviour, movements, and interactions. This information is valuable for ecological and behavioural studies.
Population Control:
Feral Animals: These tags may be used in programs aimed at controlling populations of feral or invasive species by tracking and managing specific individuals.
Breeding Programs:
Livestock Breeding: These tags are used to keep detailed records of animals in breeding programs, tracking parentage, genetic information, and performance data.
